About Yen
Yen is a member of the Asian Woman Coaching Collective, board member of Lume Adult Development Learning Community, founder of Conscious Bridge as well as co-ounder of Seed Change, an IDG (Inner Development Goals) Hub in San Francisco.
Born in China and currenly identifying herself as a global citizen, Yen started her career in non-profit sectors including Doctors Without Borders(France), UNDP, Refugee International and US medical Corps in China, Tajikistan, and North Korea, working at the frontline with AIDS patients, street children, and political refugees. Continuing working as an activist for social justice, Yen then worked in the corporate sector including L3 Communications in Beijing & Hong Kong, a Fortune 100 company and law firm in Vancouver. After completing her Master's in psychology, she worked as Operational and HR Manager at Dynatic Engineering in New York before she started her own business. Yen is also a long time meditator and committed spiritual practioner who is constantly learning and growing.
Yen has a master’s degree in Integral Psychology from California Institute of integral Studies in San Francisco, and was certified as SHRM-C Certified HR professional in New York. Yen was also trained in Public Leadership by Harvard Kennedy School, Somatic Leadership Coaching with the Strozzi Institute, Growth Edge Coaching with Cultivating Leadership and Ecosystem Leadership with Presenting Institute in Berlin.
In 2016, Yen founded the Conscious Bridge in New York to support the personal and team growth in both China and the US. Being an entrepreneur, Yen had learned a great deal about navigating the cultural and social complexity, building trust and resilience, embracing conflict and vulnerability, and working with the wisdom of the body and emotions. In her entrepreneurial years, Yen deeply experienced the power of inner transformation work and the power of leading from the heart which later became the guiding principle of her work.
Yen joined Bill Duane Associates in 2022 when she moved back to San Francisco. She provides great value for companies who are looking for an expert to support their Asian American leaders or diverse teams. Yen holds great capacity and sensitivity in supporting leaders to navigate complex situations, holding multiple perspectives, being adaptive and being courageous.
